Mrs. Hurt came to SIS after teaching in the United States for many years. She is a Teacher Consultant with the National Geographic Society, a Reader for the College Board Advanced Placement program, and a Belfer Scholar with the United States Memorial Holocaust Museum. Mrs. Hurt and her husband Tony are coauthors of an Advanced Placement Human Geography Test Prep book. In addition to her teaching responsibilities at SIS, she is the cosponsor of the Habitat for Humanity and UNICEF clubs, as well as the assistant varsity boys soccer coach. She is also the administrator for National History Day in Korea. Mrs. Hurt and her husband have four grown sons.
