The Grade 7 Language Arts program is an integrated curriculum that is aimed at developing reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. Throughout the year students will be analyzing various genres of literature, becoming familiar with important authors and the writing techniques they use, and becoming comfortable with the terminology surrounding writing and literature. The primary objective of Grade 7 Language Arts is for our students to develop their critical thinking skills and their ability to express ideas clearly, accurately, and with confidence, both in writing and orally.
General objective:
The aim is to improve language arts skills and to develop independence and an interest in reading.
