Newspaper
Available to Grades 10th, 11th, 12th
Prerequisites: 90% average in Introduction to Publications and a successful application
Students entering this course have successfully completed Introduction to Publications and are familiar with the style and format of newspaper writing, layout design and photography. Students will apply for positions with the Tiger Times, the school newspaper. While producing a monthly newspaper, students will specialize in one of several departments (writing, layout, photography and graphics or editing). All staff members work as reporters, in addition to their departmental role. The newspaper course further develops the skills learned in Introduction to Publications and may be taken for up to three years.
