Ceramics 2
Available to Grades 10th, 11th, 12th
Prerequisites: Ceramics Level 1
Ceramics 2 is an extension of Ceramics 1. This course is an advanced and in depth continuation of the handbuilding and wheel-throwing methods learned in Ceramics 1. It continues to build appreciation for aesthetic three-dimensional forms. Ceramics 2 is a course for students to further the study and design possibilities of clay in a unique and individual way. More emphasis will be placed on the form and function of the finished work. Students are encouraged to explore glazing and decoration techniques in depth. Advanced ceramics students must be self-motivated and quality-conscious individuals.
