Seoul International Elementary School believes that technology opens the doors to some amazing new learning opportunities for our students.
Through adoption of the National Educational Technology Standards (NETS) Seoul International School supports the use of technology to enhance instruction, encourage learning and foster creativity and independent thought in and outside the classroom.
Currently our students can access the Internet wirelessly through mobile labs (laptops and ipads) anywhere within the school. Additionally, the school provides three wired labs that can be booked throughout the instructional day. Over the next two years you will see your child’s access to, and use of technology increase dramatically. To support this the school has created the new position of Technology Integration Specialist to assist teachers and students in understanding how best to use technology in the classroom. During the 2012-13 school year, the Technology Integration Specialist will work directly with teachers and students in classrooms on a variety of projects.
It’s clear to us from the initial student response that technology will bring a fascinating, exciting and engaging dimension to your child’s learning. We can’t wait to share with you the many positive ways technology will shape and enhance your child’s learning.
