Seoul International School mourns the passing of Dr. Nancy Sisung, our former Middle School Principal and Elementary School Vice Principal. Dr. Sisung passed away quite suddenly this summer in Seoul transiting back to the United States after completing a three year contract with our school.

UNICEF Teacher Talent Show

The 7th annual teacher talent show for UNICEF was a huge success. This year our focus for the money raised from the show is to go toward water filtration pumps for families that our two UNICEF sister schools service.
Nyaka AIDS Orphans Project Fundraiser

There are over 2 million children in Uganda who have lost their parents to AIDS. Nyaka provides education, medical care, meals, and uniforms for students, while also helping the families and community.
Habitat for Humanity Thailand

Over spring break, 10 SIS Habitat for Humanity student volunteers flew to Bangkok, Thailand to help build a house for a family who was recently affected by the fall flooding. With the help of Damon Six (social studies teacher) and his wife, the group successfully built an sturdy structure for the Thai family to enjoy.
Fashion Show

This fantastic fashion show was co-sponsored by the SIS Habitat for Humanity Club and by our National Art Honors Society who made and auctioned-off accessories worn by the student models. The fabulous dresses were provided by the design school at Chungkang University. Opening the show was the talented dance group, Dice Crew. All proceeds went to a Habitat for Humanity project right here in our school neighborhood. This project was organized by Shelby Kim (Junior).

As a culminating project for their Language Arts Drama Unit, the 8th grade performed their own versions of twisted fairytales. These plays were written, directed, produced and performed completely by the eighth grade students.

Please join the Seoul International School community in congratulating our Chairman and Co-founder, Dr. Kim Hyung-Shik on his recent appointment as a Chair Professor at Geumgang University in Chungnam Province. With this new designation, Dr. Kim will be presenting a series of lectures on current issues in international education.
Groundbreaking for New Elementary School and Gymnasium

The new building consist of three sub levels and seven above-ground floors. The sub levels will be used as the main Tiger Gym for all schools. The new Tiger Gym will be 14,557 sq ft.
The elementary school principal and vice-principal office,teachers’ lounge, and supply room will be located on the first floor.
